UEFA decides on Rüdiger’s fate ahead of Arsenal game

Real Madrid fans can breathe a sigh of relief ! The Union of European Football Associations ( UEFA) has confirmed that defender Antonio Rüdiger and other players of the Spanish giant will be able to play in the upcoming Champions League match against Arsenal. The initial concerns arose following a UEFA investigation into an incident that happened in the previous match against Atletico Madrid. However, the disciplinary committee decided to only fine Rüdiger a financial penalty of €40,000. This means that the team’s key defender will be at coach Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal for the important quarter-final encounter.
